APB: Follow the Norwood Police Department on Facebook

Yesterday, Lt. Tom Williams, Jr., the NPD’s Community Liaison Officer, told us he just created a Facebook page for the Norwood Police Department. It already has 40 fans as of this morning, including one of us. To locate the page, just do a Facebook search for Norwood Police Department. Once you’re there, you’ll see two links: one to the NPD’s website, which Lt. Williams tells us is undergoing an overhaul and should be online again in the not too distant future; the other is to www.nixle.com, a website that enables local, county, and state law enforcement and government agencies to connect with residents who sign up (it’s free) over cell phone, email and the web.
