BOE approves levy for May ballot, won’t raise taxes
The Enquirer is reporting that the NCS Board of Education voted unanimously yesterday to place a 9.48 mil levy on the May 4 ballot. The levy combines 2 existing emergency levies scheduled to expire and will not increase taxes, according to NCS interim Treasurer Ernie Strawser. In fact, he said the county has certified the levy will decrease taxes approximately $8.00 on a $100,000 home.
