Norwood man indicted for leaving baby too close to heater
According to Channel 12, Norwood resident Timothy Neubacher, 28, was recently indicted on a charge of child endangering for allegedly leaving his 9-day old baby too close to a baseboard heater on January 17th. Court documents state he put the infant on a bed that was too close to a heater. She ended up getting wedged between the wall and the mattress so that her cries were muffled. By the time Neubacher discovered the child hours later, she had suffered severe burns on her face and chest and is currently hospitalized at Shriner’s Burns Institute. Police have not said where the child’s mother was at the time of the incident.
