Norwood man facing 2 counts of receiving stolen property

Channel 9 is reporting that 24-year-old Christopher Smith of Linden Avenue was arrested yesterday for allegedly trying to sell stolen football memorabilia the NPD says were taken from a Norwood home during a burglary. Police say that on February 19, he allegedly sold a signed Walter Payton Chicago Bears jersey and a San Francisco 49er’s signed by Bill Romanowski to two area stores. It doesn’t appear he has been charged in connection with the home burglary.
