Madeover Norwood Dispatch open for 911 calls
A big thanks to Relayman for sending us this link to yesterday’s Channel 9 story about the completed $100,000 extreme office makeover Norwood Dispatch won in a contest. Check out the great photo of their new digs. The new office includes an expanded conference room, a larger dispatch area with ceiling-mounted TV’s and improved detective offices, courtesy of a partnership between Miller-Valentine’s design team and First Financial Bank. We understand from a little Norwood birdie that the makeover was celebrated yesterday with an Open House. It’s great our dispatchers are finally out of the awful basement quarters at City Hall and into a pleasant work environment. Congratulations!
12/7/06 UPDATE: Thanks to another tip, we’re linking to these really cool videos on Miller-Valentine’s website that show the Norwood Dispatch extreme makeover before (ugly), during the construction phase, and after (awesome). The ugly clip shows the substandard toilet, break room, the awful paneling, and even old holding cells, plus there are interviews with several Dispatch employees.
