RE: Appointment of James Stith – Auditor City of Norwood

Dear Mr. Burke,

This is to inform you and the Board of Elections that on December 17, 2007 a meeting was held of the Central Committee of the Norwood Republican Party. During this meeting, after considerable discussion, a vote was held to appoint James (Jim) Stith to the vacated seat as the Auditor of the City of Norwood. Mr. Stith will finish out the term that Donnie R. Jones vacated with his written notification earlier this year. Mr. Stith’s appointment is to be considered effective at 9:30 PM of this day.

Mr. Stith will be in contact with the Board of Elections personnel to finalize any paperwork necessary.

Best Regards,

Steve Thornbury

Addendum: Most everyone in Norwood knows that Jim Stith challenged incumbent Keith Moore for Norwood’s Ward 1 council seat this past November. His campaign website is still accessible for those who would like to learn more about him and see his picture. Also, Mr. Stith participated in our candidate blog series with this submission.
