This one got by us until we saw this brief mention in yesterday’s Enquirer: After one year on the job, NCS Treasurer Tony Wright resigned at the last BOE meeting. He will be taking a position in the private sector. Tomorrow at 5:00 p.m. the BOE will convene for a special meeting to interview applicants for treasurer in executive session.
By our count, Mr. Wright is the 3rd school treasurer to resign since Cary Furniss left for the Lebanon School District the latter part of 2003. Is high turnover in the school treasurer business now the norm?
