Xavier Newswire: more may be named in discrimination suit

Last week, the Enquirer reported two female Xavier University professors had filed 2 gender-based discrimination lawsuits against the university and several of its high ranking officials. One suit was filed in Hamilton County Common Pleas Court on 11/20/07 seeking $15 million, and the second was filed on 12/5/07 in U.S. District Court seeking $20 million. The latest edition of the Xavier Newswire identifies the Xavier officials named thus far in the lawsuits and says more may be added. The article also includes this link to the 15-page federal lawsuit, which provides details of the professors’ allegations against the various parties named, and says the first court date will be Jan. 7, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. in Hamilton County Court House room 340 with Judge Steven E. Martin presiding.
