First ever “Wear Your Bike Helmet to School Day!”

Norwood City Schools is participating next Wednesday, September 21, in the first ever statewide “Wear Your Bike Helmet to School Day!” The American Academy of Pediatrics, Ohio Chapter, is sponsoring the event. Students are encourage to “Put a Lid on It - Protect Before you Pedal” on this special day and every day.

Teachers will be talking about the importance of wearing appropriate protective gear when participating in sport and play – including wearing a bike helmet while riding. Staff, teachers and students are encouraged to bring their bike or sports helmet with them to wear for the beginning of the school day on Wednesday, September 21, 2011. Helmets will be returned the home with the children at the end of the day.
