Musketeer Madness to tip off Xavier basketball season

Xavier basketball hosts Musketeer Madness presented by Skyline Chili on Saturday, Oct. 23 at the Cintas Center. Musketeer Madness is the tip-off event for the 2010-11 Xavier men’s and women’s basketball seasons. The event is free and open to the public and features a Fan Fest on the plaza in front of Cintas Center starting at 4 p.m. Fans can get autographs from both men’s and women’s basketball players from 5:00 to 5:45 p.m. Other activities include inflatable games for kids, a balloon artist, cornhole, and more. Skyline Chili and Trauth Dairy will serve chili and ice cream and FOX Sports Ohio will have promotional giveaways and activities.

The madness continues at 6:20 pm with the introduction of both basketball teams, to be followed by intra-squad scrimmages. The Xavier pep band, cheerleaders and dance team will help tip off the season.

The 2010-11 X-shirt will be unveiled and available to purchase for $18. Xavier students receive a $4 discount with a valid Xavier student ID. Members from each basketball team will host an exclusive Junior Musketeers Club members-only free clinic from 4-5 p.m. in the Kohlhepp Family Auxiliary Gym. Call 745-3378 to join Junior Musketeers. Fans will be able to purchase season tickets and mini-packs for both men’s and women’s basketball.
