Mayor Williams shares a quote with our readers

We appreciate the email from Mayor Williams yesterday asking us to share the following quote with our readers and thought it would be a thought-provoking way to wind up the week. As long as the subject is voting, what are your thoughts on why so many people vote rarely or not at all? Low voter turnout is a phenomenon we fail to understand.

I come across quotes from time to time that I think is relevant. The one I would like to share with you today is:

Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone, and you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost. …John Quincy Adams

Sincerely,
Mayor Tom Williams
