Enquirer: Feds investigating 3rd complaint against X.U.
Federal authorities are investigating a 3rd civil-rights investigation of Xavier University, based on charges by 2011 X.U. graduate Caitlin Pinciotti that she was sexually assaulted in late 2008. She says the university allowed the student found responsible in a March 2009 campus disciplinary hearing to flout terms of his one-semester suspension.
According to Pinciotti, Sean Marron showed up on campus at least five times in violation of the terms of his suspension. She claims he was never punished by then-Dean of Students Luther Smith. Smith was reassigned to unspecified duties last month when federal authorities announced they are investigating 2 other complaints by female students claiming the university mishandled their reports of sexual assault.
