U.S. Navy SEALS kill Osama bin Laden in Pakistan!

In a mission kept secret the Pakistani government and all other foreign officials, U.S. Special Forces killed Osama bin Laden in a unilateral raid yesterday on his luxury hideout in Abbottabad, a town 62 miles north of the capital Islamabad. What makes the Navy SEALS’ bravery all the more remarkable is that the mission proceeded despite the fact that the helicopter transporting them to the hideout gave out. After killing bin Laden, the forces put his remains in another helicopter that was dispatched to the scene. He was buried at sea because Islamic tradition calls for a speedy burial, plus finding a country willing to accept the remains of the world’s most wanted terrorist would have been difficult, according to a U.S. official.

We think the statement Dick Cheney issued after the announcement is very apt. “Today, the message our forces have sent is clear; if you attack the United States, we will find you and bring you to justice.” It may take 10 years, but yes, we will!
