Norwood cops catch 2 stealing copper from church
The Enquirer is reporting that Norwood police caught Thomas Cox, 29, and William Cox, 30, in the act of trying to steal copper downspouts from the Immaculate Conception Church on Robertson Ave at about 5:30 a.m. yesterday. Apparently, someone who saw the men lurking around the church and then entering called the police. A witness told the police one of the men was pulling down the downspouts while the other stood and watched. After their arrest for felony breaking and entering charges, both were booked into the Hamilton County jail.
Moral of the story: always call the Norwood police when you see suspicious behavior or a crime in progress.
ADDENDUM: Channel 9 (we can't get the link to work) says both men are Norwood residents and are employed as roofers. It is not clear whether or not they are related.
