Welcome Home Celebration for Veterans

Recently, we received the following invitation to all Veterans and their families to attend the 2nd Annual Welcome Home Celebration on May 15th and 16th:

My name is Master Sergeant Steven Jessie, currently of the Ohio Army National. I am a lifelong resident of Norwood class of ‘78, and I am also involved in numerous Military/Veterans type events. I would like to inform you of an upcoming event that should be of interest to all the Veterans of Norwood. It is the 2nd Annual Welcome Home Celebration at Lunken Airport on Saturday, May 16th from 4:30 to 9:00 p.m. Also, the Thank You Foundation will be holding a fundraising gala the prior evening on Friday May 15th at The Underground, 1140 Smiley Avenue.

This is a party for Veterans and their families. It is being sponsored by the Veterans Administration, and last year’s event had 4,000 attendees. We expect this year’s numbers could be double that.

We want as many Veterans as possible to know about this event and attend, and I am enclosing this website address so they can RSVP online. The V.A. needs an approximate headcount so they can be prepared.
