According to Channel 12, Cincinnati police are looking for two men posing as Duke Energy employees who may be casing homes in adjacent Oakley. On July 31st, two men approached a female on Millsbrae Avenue and asked about her parent’s work hours and the vehicles they drove. Police in Dayton, Ohio are investigating similar cases.
Both suspects are white. The first is approximately age 30, has a medium build with short, blondish/brown hair and was wearing a light gray Duke polo shirt with red stripes. He may have gone by the name “Vaughn”. The second suspect is in his early 20’s, has a medium build with short, brown hair, and was wearing a black t-shirt, a black ball cap and oversized shorts.
Anyone with information about these two is asked to call Police Dispatch at 513-765-1212 or CRIMESTOPPERS at 513-352-3040. Tips can be sent by text to 513-352-3050. Callers may remain anonymous and may receive compensation for their information.
Always proceed with caution if individuals just show up at your house claiming to be with Duke Energy or any other utility or public/private entity. Always ask for proper identification and then call the utility or entity and verify the identification. If it doesn’t check out, call Norwood Dispatch immediately at 911.
