The Business Courier is reporting that Xavier’s Williams College of Business has launched their X-LAB Competition (Xavier-Launch a Business) to “identify the most determined, creative entrepreneurs with the most promising business ideas.” The five winners who will be selected will receive help writing a business plan or improving existing plans and finding investors. The program also seeks to help existing small- to medium-sized businesses improve and expand.
Applications will be judged on the viability of the business ideas the potential of the business owners, and whether the capabilities of X-LAB are a good match for the business.
Entrepreneurs are asked to apply by July 7 by using this online application. Applicants will be screened by faculty members and members of the business community. Winners will be announced Sept. 10. Anyone can apply, including students at Xavier or other schools.
