2010 4th of July Norwood Hometown Fireworks
Thanks to the dedication of the Norwood Fireworks Committee and the generosity of the Carl H. Lindner family and many local businesses and individuals, the 7th Annual Norwood Hometown Fireworks is set to explode at dusk this Sunday, July 4 at Shea Stadium at 2603 Harris Avenue. The gates open at 6:30 p.m., and the program starts at 9:00 p.m. Admission is free.
This year, the new REWIND 94.9 with Steve Mann will be on hand with giveaways, plus there will be clowns, face painting, Zoo Wings of Wonder, moon bouncer and pre-fireworks music entertainment by All Dance Sound. Various civic groups have reserved booths.
Steve Thornbury is the Master of Ceremonies. Pastor Timothy Brooks of the Norwood Church of the Nazarene will give the invocation. followed by Mayor Tom Williams’ opening remarks. Lois Schneider, John Breadon, and Victor Schneider will be the presenters for the “Master of the Fireworks” Finalist and Drawing.
