Schedule of final round of H1N1 school-based vaccinations

Health Commissioner Pamela Walker-Bauer sent us the following information to share with our readers:

Below are the dates and times of a 2nd and final round of 2009 H1N1 School-Based Vaccination Clinics for Norwood Schools. These clinics are being held for two reasons:

1) The CDC recommends that children under 10 receive TWO doses of vaccine about a month apart (21 days minimum) to provide optimum protection against the 2009 H1N1 flu virus;

2) This 2nd round will allow children who missed out on the first round of the school-based mass vaccination campaign for whatever reason.

Parents will need to complete a second consent for vaccination form that can be found on the Norwood City Schools website and the Norwood Health Department website. These consent forms must be returned to the schools by November 10 to allow us to adequately prepare for the clinics.

Allison Head Start & Pre-School: Mon. , Nov. 16 at 8:10 AM & 12:10 PM

Sharpsburg Elementary & Sharpsburg Primary: Tues., Nov. 17 at 9:30 AM

Williams Elementary: Tues., Nov. 17 at 9:30 AM

Norwood View: Thurs., Nov. 19 at 9:30 AM

Cornerstone School: Thurs., Nov. 19 at 11:00 AM

North Norwood: Thurs., Nov. 19 at 1:15 PM

Norwood High School: Fri., Nov. 20 at 8:00 AM

Norwood Middle School: Fri., Nov. 20 at 10:00 AM

St. Nicholas Academy: Tues., Nov. 24 at 2:30 PM
