Xavier Players’ "The Snow Queen" starts this Thursday
Xavier’s website has this description of the Hans Christian Anderson classic tale, Snow Queen:
European artist and puppeteer, Irini Niculescu brings her magic to the classic tale about two friends who are "not brother and sister, but are just fond of each other as if they had been." When the boy Kay catches a sliver of the demon's magic mirror in his eye, he sees everything in the world as bad and twisted. Fascinated by the magical beauty of the Snow Queen, he goes in with her to her palace in the far frozen north. The story is told with narration and dance to the music of Arcangelo Corelli, and holds a valuable lesson about holding strong to what you believe in.
